Regional rail lines on the right and left bank of the Rhine

As part of the corridor renovation of the Troisdorf–Wiesbaden line, train services will be suspended from 10 July to 12 December 2026. The following regional services are affected:

RE 8/ RB 27

Usual routeMönchengladbach –  Koblenz 
Changes                  The RE 8 and RB 27 are cancelled between Troisdorf and Koblenz from July 10th to September 11th, 2026, and between Cologne Messe/Deutz and Koblenz from September 12th to December 12th, 2026. Replacement bus services will operate.
Information about the replacement services
  • Troisdorf – Koblenz: by SEV line RE 8 (30-minute interval, without stops between Troisdorf and Ramersdorf) or by SEV express line RE 8X (30-minute interval, only stopping in Ramersdorf between Troisdorf and Bad Honnef (Stadtbahn))
  • Cologne Messe/Deutz – Troisdorf: by RE 9, S 12 or S 19
  • Troisdorf – Bonn-Ramersdorf: by SEV line RB 27 (15-minute interval, with all intermediate stops)
  • Andernach – Koblenz: by SEV line 901
  • Koblenz – Neuwied: by SEV line 927

 

RE 9

Usual routeEltville –  Frankfurt (Main) 
ChangesThe RE 9 between Eltville and Frankfurt (Main) is cancelled.

Replacement bus service with SEV line 10E between Wiesbaden and Eltville St. Elisabeth.

 

RB 10

Usual routeNeuwied – Frankfurt (Main)
ChangesThe RE 10 between Neuwied and Wiesbaden is cancelled. Replacement bus services are available.
Information about the replacement service

Between Neuwied and Koblenz, the SEV lines RE 8/RE 8X (each at 30-minute intervals) operate, combined with the SEV express line 10X between Koblenz and Wiesbaden Central Station (30-minute intervals).

Alternatively: local rail services (SPNV) between Koblenz and Wiesbaden with a transfer in Mainz.

 

RE 15

Usual routeMainz – Kaiserslautern
ChangesThere are cancellations for the RE 15 between Mainz and Bad Kreuznach.
AlternativeRE 3 (operates as usual) or RB 33

 

 

RB 23

Usual routeMayen Ost – Limburg (Lahn)
ChangesThe RB 23 between Andernach and Koblenz is cancelled.

Alternatives and

information about the replacement service

  • Alternatively: RE 5 or RB 26 between Andernach and Koblenz Central Station
  • SEV line RB 23 with all intermediate stops of RB 23 (Weißenthum Obere Fährstr., Weißenthurm Mitte/Eulenturm, Mülheim-Kärlich Landstraße, and Koblenz Stadtmitte).
  • SEV line RE 5 without stops between Andernach and Koblenz Stadtmitter 

 

RB 26

Usual routeKöln Messe/Deutz –  Mainz 
ChangesThe RB 26 between Bingen and Mainz is cancelled every two hours from Monday to Friday. From July 10th to September 11th, service between Cologne Messe/Deutz and Cologne/Bonn Airport is reduced at night..
Alternative                        RE 2 between Bingen Central Station and Mainz Central Station (does not serve all intermediate stops of RB 26).

 

RB 30

Usual routeAhrbrück – Bonn
ChangesThe RB 30 between Remagen and Bonn Central Station is cancelled.
Alternatives
  • RE 5 (does not serve all intermediate stops of RB 30)
  • RB 26 between Remagen and Koblenz Central Station or Boppard Central Station

 

RB 32

Usual routeAhrbrück –  Remagen –  Boppard 
ChangesThe RB 32 between Remagen and Boppard is cancelled.

  • RE 5 (does not serve all intermediate stops of RB 32)
  • RB 26 between Remagen and Boppard

 

RB 33
